Greening the Conference - Mondial Congress & Events goes Green

Mondial Congress & Events, one of the internationally leading PCOs, is committed to Green Event Management. The objective is organising events considering environmental and sustainable aspects.

For this purpose, a catalogue of measures was created to serve as guideline for environmentally responsible conferences and meetings. From all stages of preparation to on-site realisation, these topics are considered the most important ones: waste management, reduction of paper and power consumption, eco-friendly supplies, choice of hotels and venues based on compliance with ecological standards (like eco-management and eco-label) as well as excellent access to public transportation.

'Our guideline for eco-friendly congress organisation furthermore comprises criteria for the choice of catering as well as of gifts or congress materials', says Gregor Kadanka Managing Director of the Mondial Group. 'Moreover, a concept based on aspects of sustainability helps save resources and cut costs-and the events itself gains in credibility'.

Also the working paper of the Austrian Ecology Institute for "Climate-friendly Events" confirms this view stating that: 'Events that are environmentally responsible are getting more and more important. Not only visitors but also sponsors increasingly appreciate sustainable activities.'

Mondial Congress & Events launches Association Management Services

Ever more societies and associations are looking for a permanent home base for their society secretariat. By providing a steady contact person, communication between a society and its members is improved, and ties within the community are strengthened.

Modules offered include Administrative Services, Public Relations, Education, Finance & Reports, Strategies & Development and Industry Liaison. Even though this service was only recently added to our portfolio, we can already count renowned societies among our customers.

On a national level, Mondial Congress serves as society secretariat for the Austrian Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. On an international level, the European Trauma Society (ETS) and the European Academy of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (EAORL-HNS) have entrusted Mondial Congress & Events with running their society secretariats.
