![]() Situated at the cost of the river Weichsel, Warsaw has served as the capital city of Poland since 1611. Formerly known as cultural and industrial center as well as one of the most beautiful and urban cities of Central Europe, it was nearly completely destroyed by World War II.
Yet, today's townscape barely reminds of the past. Warsaw is rather representing the economic center of a new modern Poland and at the same time developing into a cultural jewel. Its Old Town has even been granted the UNESCO award "World Cultural Heritage".
The pulsing and upcoming city with its numerous new restaurants, clubs, galleries and boutiques serves as host for around 650 business meetings per year and will develop into an important conference destination for the future.
