Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee I would like to invite you to attend the 14th CENTRAL EUROPEAN LUNG CANCER CONFERENCE which will be held from 29 November until 2 December 2014, in Vienna, Austria.
 
This multidisciplinary Conference will focus on both education and scientific developments in the field of lung cancer. The Conference will offer symposia, oral sessions, poster sessions and satellite symposia. Primary prevention and screening in Central Europe will be important topics. Recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer will be updated. The Conference should also promote research co-operation in Central Europe. The Organizers particularly encourage researchers of the region to present their latest results. The Conference will also offer opportunities for young doctors to discuss their ongoing or planned research projects.Vienna is an excellent venue for this Conference because of its central location in Europe and easy accessibility from all parts of the world.

I am sure that the 14th CENTRAL EUROPEAN LUNG CANCER CONFERENCE will offer you an excellent scientific program and enhance co-operation. I am looking forward to welcoming you in Vienna.

Continuing Medical Education

CME Accreditation:
The 14th Central European Lung Cancer Conference is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.

The 14th Central European Lung Cancer Conference is designated for a maximum of 13 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

DFP Accreditation:
The scientific programme of the 14th Central European Lung Cancer Conference (ID 509172) is accredited by the Austrian Medical Chamber with 16 DFP credit points.

Abstract Submission

Thank you for submitting your abstract for the 14th Central European Lung Cancer Conference!

The abstract reviewing is now in progress. Notification of acceptance and information regarding presentations will be forwarded to the authors immediately after the reviewing process by e-mail (approximately end of September 2014).

If an abstract is accepted it is mandatory for the presenting author to attend the congress.

Abstracts must meet the following requirements:

Length:                350 words including title and maximum 1 table, no figures allowed

Please note that registrations can only be accepted via online registration and confirmed upon receipt of full payment. As soon as the Organising Secretariat has received your payment, a letter of confirmation will be emailed.

The date of the remittance order (as stamped on the slip) will be decisive for the early and late registration fee (i.e.: for early-bird registration, the remittance has to be ordered by October 6, 2014).

During the online registration process you will have the possibility to request a visa invitation letter. Please have your passport at hand to fill in all required details needed for the visa invitation letter. These include your passport number, date of issue, and the issuing authority.

Terms & Conditions:
For cancellations before October 6, 2014, the registration fee, less an administration fee of € 50.- will be refunded. In case of a cancellation after Monday, October 6, 2014, registration fees cannot be refunded and will be kept as cancellation fee. Only written cancellations are accepted.

Double Room booking: If you are sharing a room with another delegate, please book only one hotel room and provide the name of the person with whom you will be sharing.

Terms & Conditions:
Hotel bookings will be handled on a “first come –first served” basis. In case the requested hotel is no longer available, Mondial Congress & Events will do its utmost to offer similar accommodation. This may, however, involve a change in price. We therefore recommend early booking to ensure availability.

Please note that hotel bookings can only be accepted and confirmed upon receipt of the completed online registration form and receipt of the corresponding deposit payment. As soon as the Organizing Secretariat has received your payment, a letter of confirmation will be e-mailed to you. It will confirm the name and address of your hotel, the room rate per night, the duration of your stay as well as the amount of the deposit paid.

All changes or cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations of rooms received before Friday, August 29, 2014 will be refunded, less an administration fee of € 50.-. In case of complete cancellation after Friday, August 29, 2014, no show or early departure, the deposit paid will be kept as cancellation fee. Only written cancellations are accepted.

The number of nights booked is binding and will serve as the basis for your hotel invoice.

Any extras need to be paid directly in the hotel. Mondial only acts as mediator in the process of signing the travel contract.

Congress Language
Please note that the official congress language is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.

Name Badges
You will receive a personalised badge when collecting your registration documents. During the Congress, this badge must be clearly visible at all times and grants access to the Scientific Sessions, Commercial Exhibition and networking events included in the registration fee.

Certificate of Attendance
For official delegates to the Congress, a Certificate of Attendance is available at the registration desk.

Abstract Publication
All accepted abstracts will be published in Translational Lung Cancer Research (www.tlcr.org). A printed copy of the journal’s congress edition will be included in your congress bag.

Insurance
Delegates are advised to arrange health and accident insurance prior to travelling to the congress. The congress organisers will not assume any responsibility for accidents, losses or damages, as well as for delays or modifications in the programme, caused by unforeseen circumstances. No claims for indemnification from the organisers shall arise for contractors or participants in case of cancellation, for any reason, of the entire Congress.

A cancellation insurance offered by the “Europäische Reiseversicherung” can be booked via the online registration. Delegates who wish to take advantage of a cancellation insurance for conference costs (registration fee, travel & hotel costs) have the choice of three different premiums. The cancellation insurance covers not only services booked via Mondial but also services booked by each delegate individually.

Passport and Visa
Please check passport and visa requirements in due time before your departure. Three month tourist visas are issued by Austrian embassies or consulates. They can take a while to be processed, so leave enough time before departure to apply. Fees vary depending on your nationality. There are no entry requirements or restrictions on EU nationals visiting Austria.

Currency and Banks
The official currency in Austria is EURO (€).
Banking hours in general are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 08:00-12:30 and 13:30-15:00, Thursday 08:00-12:30 and 13:30-17:30. ATMs are located outside most banks, cash can be withdrawn there 24/7. National and foreign Maestro cards (cash cards) as well as Mastercard, AMEX, Visa and Diners are accepted.

Visa – Letter of Invitation
On request, the Congress Secretariat will be pleased to send letters of invitation to individual scientists. Invitations of this kind are intended to assist potential delegates to raise their travel funds or obtain visas. They do not imply any commitment or responsibility on behalf of the Congress to provide financial support. Please note that letters of invitation can only be sent after receipt of registration and payment of full registration fee.

Changes to the Congress Programme
In the event of cancellations by speakers or other changes in the main congress programme, no full or partial refund of the registration fee can be made.

Liability
Mondial Congress & Events shall act as mediator only and cannot be held responsible for any loss incurred or any damage inflicted on persons or objects irrespective of whatsoever cause. The liability for transport and other service companies shall not be affected by the above. Only written agreements shall be valid. The place of jurisdiction shall be Vienna.
