Budapest, as it is known today, was created in 1873, with the unification of Buda on the right bank of the Danube and Pest on the left bank. Since the collapse of Communism in 1990, Budapest has steadily experienced a surge of commercial revitalization with the emergence of new luxury hotels, malls, restaurants, pubs and clubs.
